52 Fridays: 4/52 - Frame It.

Isn't it hard to believe we're already in our 4th week?! I almost didn't get a photo in on time, but here we go. My parents are celebrating 33 years of marriage in a couple weeks, and I had the opportunity to get some photos out of them!

This was one of my favorites from the session, and the only black and white:

You can find the rest of the session here. Be sure to continue with the circle by visiting Liz's blog next; don't miss out!

Thirty Three

I just wanted to share a few photos from my parents' anniversary photo session.
They will celebrate 33 years the first week of February!

52 Fridays: 3/52 - Winter.

Well, it's not winter here.
::sad face::
I love winter, and snow. My whole family does.
That's why last year, we all packed up in the middle of January and went to
Jackson Hole, Wyoming, for two weeks.

Since we're having a spring-like winter here in the midwest, I've taken to reminiscing on the lovely winter weather we enjoyed in Wyoming last year.

It's not very often that my mom wants to be in front of the camera, so I was happy when I got this photo of her while we were exploring the Wyoming country side on snowmobiles. It's one of my favorites of her, and I think it really shows her beauty and gentleness.

Next up is Liz, so be sure to head over to her blog and show her some love!

52 Fridays: 2/52 - Sparkle.

Last week was so fun, clicking away through the blog circle and discovering each one of you through your self portrait. I know this is going to be a great year, and I expect that my skills will have greatly improved by the end of it. It's great to have that accountability, and team pushing you to think outside your normal comfort zones.

Take this week, for example. Sparkle. I don't think I would have ventured out on my own doing to try and capture a sparkle.

I've always been a fan of night photography. I don't know why. I prefer night; I feel like I am like the night. Not in the sense that it's dark and gloomy, because it's quite the opposite. It's mysterious. Yet, if you discover it, you may just find a sparkle.

One of the things I have always loved is how headlights twinkle in the night.

To see even more sparkles and to discover the work of some very talented ladies; continue onto Renee's blog!

52 Fridays: 1/52 - self portrait.

Here it is - week one of the 52 Fridays challenge! I really didn't think the self portrait would be that big of a deal, boy was I wrong. We really are our worst critics.
Well, maybe not, I can think of a few people that....oh, nevermind.

This took a lot of work, and a lot of this:

I finally ended up with this. It was getting dark, and hey, I was hungry.
So, here it is, the. self. portrait.

Leslie is one of my partners in crime for the 52 Fridays challenge; so head over to her blog and take a peek at her self portrait.
