I like Starbucks.
This is my favorite drink:
It's $5.11, and I'm not broke, but I may get there quickly if I continue to buy these
at Starbucks 2-3 times a week.
I decided that I would go 30 days without paying for Starbucks, but not before I was completely prepared to make my own. It's the 7th day now - I made it a whole week already!!
I'm going to be posting some more of my concoctions for you throughout the remaining three weeks, but for this first one, I thought it appropriate to start with my favorite.
Starbucks sells their syrups, and that is where I got the Raspberry. I think it's about $8 for the liter. They will not sell their White Chocolate sauce, but don't worry. You can buy this White Chocolate sauce from Fontana on Amazon. Folks, it's the real deal. I've tried lots of different brands, and this one is the best. Apparently, this is the one Starbucks used in its early days. I believe it.
2 pumps white chocolate sauce
2 pumps raspberry syrup
brew the small size
enjoy the heavenly smell at this point
add 1/2 cup cold milk
fill your cup the rest of the way with ice
And here we have it. I made this in about 3 minutes...I couldn't have made a Starbucks run that quickly!
The best part is that it tastes exactly like the one that usually costs me $5.11.
If you wish to enjoy this drink hot, prepare the same way, except heat your 1/2 cup milk in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Don't add ice, I know you knew that.
