Urban means "of, pertaining to, or designating a city or town."
Yes, I looked it up. It's pretty general, so you might be more urban than you think!
We moved to Springfield two years ago, so that my husband could attend MSU. We moved from a tiny town with a population of 148. As much as I loved the country, it was also kind of a pain being a good 25 minute drive from a decent town. There were no quick runs to the store of any kind. There was nothing quick about anything, actually! Some days I miss that, but then I don't really. My husband asked me what would I photograph if we still lived in the middle of nowhere, and I told him I would have gone down to the feed mill, and taken pictures of it!
It was considered "town" out there, so why not?!
Springfield has an awesome urban setting downtown. I absolutely love it. It's small enough that you don't feel like you can't keep up with what's going on, but big enough to be exciting and relevant.
This is the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge, you can read more about it here. Since we moved here, I've wanted to take photos of this bridge. I've been by there several times, and even been to Askinosie Chocolate, which is just across the street, but it just never seemed to be the right time.
So, when I saw this theme coming up, I knew it's what I wanted to photograph.
